What a way to make a livin'

Helene in Between

How many of you get to come into an office.. basically in whatever you want, blare music all day long, talk trash while making dreams come true, go out on fabulous nights on the town/fun events, sometimes make your own schedule, be part of a team, play with props, and post for goofy pictures? Show of hands? Not that many of you, hmm.

When I saw that Helene had this awesome link up and knew I was trying to get back into my blogging groove, I knew I wanted to be part of this. #TOTALSOCIAL is all about our
9 to 5 and mine happens to be with a Professional DJ Business and a Photo Booth.
We do everything from Kid's birthday parties to Glamorous Weddings!

Somedays I'm swamped at a desk like this..

And other days I'm being silly at the booth like this..

My main job is Sales, Marketing, and Booking so I'm basically the person who will put everything together or as I like to say, "Swing your Wedding".
Lately things have been balls to the wall but today was actually fun-- we are in the middle of doing video interviews for our website and while the Office Manager was videoing in the other room, I opened my office door, hopped up on the table, and spoke in my sexiest British accent and pretended to be her.  I was hoping to have the video by now but something is not working correctly.  BULLOCKS!

In all seriousness, we do a lot of hard work to make sure that dreams come true and parties are the kind you remember for a lifetime. This is one of the best jobs I've had and I wouldn't trade it for anything.. unless the price was right <<wink wink>>

Life Happens

Has anyone noticed that I really haven't been around Blogworld much lately? I have.. not only because I love blogging myself but I adore reading about others and the relationships that I've created with them-- but hey, I'm sorry! Life happens, right?

There's been work, rain/flooding, holidays, more rain, crazy events at work, relationship issues, and what not. I have more than a handful of drafts just screaming to be finished and published so I'm going to make time to get back into the groove of blogging as well as reading my favorites-- you know who you are! Some topics I have drafted, aka what you have to look forward to are "5 things I want to remember forever", "Why do people feel they have to break down others?", "Do you lie? To please or placate?", and SO much more. I can't just give it all away now.

Today, I just wanna catch up and fill you in on what's been going on in my life as of late. While I don't claim that it's anything to exciting, it's my life and I'm stuck with it.
Work has been pretty crazy lately.  Graduations, Weddings, and Bride's Night Out.
Bride's Night Out was a big event held at the Pensacola Beach Hilton for brides-to-be to come out and meet with local vendors of all kinds. There were florists there, photographers, chef's, bakeries, and an awesome fashion show.
It was a big "to do" in these parts. Andrea and I worked ALL day (actually for days) to prepare and I worked the show like a high end hooker-- I even wore a dress!!
And I will spare you a photo of the LOVELY bloody blister that I'm sporting due to wearing shoes other than my flip flops.

Have you ever heard the saying "If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"?
Well, that's been me and vehicles lately.

The other day I was in a mad dash to make it across town to drop off some paperwork and get back to the office to meet with a client and my car breaks down.
 Like.. out.of.nowhere.
After having it towed, my Father was nice enough to let me use his baby, his Tahoe. I've borrowed it from time to time and I'm very careful with it but this particular down, I suppose my planets weren't aligned or some shit because I was pulling up to a stop light and my foot came off the break and I hit another car. This guy saw DOLLAR SIGNS.  He jumped out of the car and started saying that I must have good insurance, etc.
Good Lord.  It was first thing the next morning that a claim was filed and I was getting a call from my Father and the insurance company at 8:05am. Luckily, no one was hurt and neither one of the cars had that much damage-- mostly my pride.

Would you believe that I've meant to write this post for two weeks now but I catch myself taking selfies like the one above?  Relationship issues give me such scatterbrain. It seems like all Rob and I do lately is argue.  This is one time that I'm not going to go into full details but rather keep it to myself for the time being.

But this guy.. he makes me SO HAPPY!

And when my BFF sneaks me off on a Sunday for a Bloody Mary with extra olives, I feel like I just might have my gusto back! I hope that I am able to commit to getting back to blogging because I miss it-- I miss all of my comments and expressing the way I feel and what's cluttering up my mind.

And if none of this makes sense or flows.. it's okay too!
